Terms of Service
Last updated Oct 21, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and SYNAP LLC ("techpack.live", "we", "us"), which operates the website techpack.live and its related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for a venue, company or tour, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
1. What the Service is
techpack.live lets venues publish technical information and documents ("tech packs"), lets touring professionals find, preview and download them, and lets both communicate. We host and display content; we do not inspect venues or verify technical data. Read the Technical Data Disclaimer; it is part of these terms.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate information. One person per account; keep your password private and tell us at support@techpack.live if you think someone else used it.
- Venue accounts represent a real venue. When you claim a venue, you confirm you're authorized to manage its listing. We may ask for proof and may remove access we can't confirm.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Your content
- "Content" means anything you upload or write: documents, specs, photos, contacts, messages, advance sheets.
- You keep ownership of your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, convert (for example into previews, thumbnails and searchable text), display and deliver it to the people your settings allow, and to operate, secure and improve the Service. The license ends when you delete the Content, except for copies in backups (kept up to 30 days) and Content others already downloaded.
- You confirm you have the rights to share your Content and that it doesn't violate anyone's rights or any law.
- Venue information published to members may be downloaded and shared by touring professionals for planning the shows it's meant for.
4. Venue listings we create
To make the directory useful from day one, we may create listings for venues from publicly available information and documents venues have distributed for touring productions. These are marked unclaimed. A venue can claim its listing at any time to correct, update or remove it, or ask us to remove a document under our Copyright & Takedown policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no unlawful, false or harmful content; no scraping, bulk downloading or reselling of the directory; no spam; no attempts to break or probe the Service.
6. Messages and notifications
Messages are delivered to the people in the conversation and may be emailed to them. We don't read messages except to investigate a report, prevent abuse, comply with law, or with your permission. Messages you send stay in the recipient's inbox if you delete your account.
7. Plans, payments and trials
- Some features require a paid plan. Prices, what's included and any trial length are shown before you subscribe.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until canceled. You can cancel any time from Billing; you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. We don't give partial refunds except where the law requires.
- Free trials convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends; we remind you by email before a trial ends.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the change applies from your next renewal.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and your files safe, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the Service we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.
9. Suspension and termination
You can close your account any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, put others at risk, or are required to be closed by law. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
10. Disclaimers
The Service and all Content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. You are solely responsible for confirming technical data with the venue and for the safety of any rigging, electrical, structural or special-effects work.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SYNAP LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data or business interruption, or for any injury, death or property damage arising from reliance on Content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Some places don't allow these limitations; where they don't, they apply as far as allowed.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify SYNAP LLC against claims arising from your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these terms or of anyone's rights.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which SYNAP LLC is organized and of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This doesn't take away the protection of mandatory consumer laws where you live. If a dispute comes up, write to us first at info@techpack.live; most things are settled by an email.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll notify you by email or in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
